The Chemistry Specialist will be responsible for attaining sales growth objectives within Japan territory.  The candidate will work collaboratively with their Chemistry Sales Representatives to achieve sales goals as set for Chemistry Business Planning & Development.

[Responsibilities]

• Will be responsible for preparation and implementation of comprehensive Business Development plans for their Japan Chemistry products (columns and sample preparation) sales.
• Will be responsible for designing and developing sales tools for chemistry product sales team, occasionally oral/written translation required.
• Closely collaborating with Corporate/Asia Pacific marketing teams on business development initiatives.
• Delivering succinct, pertinent sales reports and updates on business development initiatives.
• Occasionally traveling to anywhere in Japan to support trade shows, seminars and customer visits.

[Requirements]
Education:    B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related sciences is required; Advanced degree in the sciences is a plus

Expertise/Personal Skills/Qualifications:

• At least 3 - 5 years of work experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, chemicals or related industry.
• Prior laboratory experience using HPLC or MS preferred.
• Marketing / sales experience in analytical instrumentation for the polymer, food, environmental, life science industries would be advantageous.
• Fluent or business level English
• Positive attitude and strong sense of commitment
• Team player with good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
• Commitment to quality output
• Continual process improvement
